Gatsby, stunning 2.5 year old blue whippet

Gatsby would have to be one of the most stunning Whippets l have ever had and/or met. He is still a puppy so maintaining training will be of benefit to him and his new owner(s).
He came into my care lacking a bit of confidence and not really used to being allowed inside where he could be warm and part of the family. We have been working on his toilet training and he has done brilliantly with this; he has also mastered the dog door in the last few days. Toilet training is something to be maintained when he goes to his new home as he has done so well to this point.
Gatsby will need a whippet experienced owner/family and will not be re homed as an only dog. He is a strong boy who is also learning how to walk on lead, but already improving. He weighs 17.5kg's and this is muscle! High fencing is needed as l am sure if he wanted to, he would be more than able to jump a fence. He has not attempted to do this here, but l want all bases covered when it comes to finding him the best possible home.
Gatsby has been around small dogs and also socialised with dogs more his size and done very well. He does not have a bad bone in his body and will retreat when any dog warns him he is being too friendly. He doesn't appear to be cat focused, but this will have to be tested properly prior to him going to a home with a cat.
He is used to children as l have a toddler and they get along famously. He is a dog that wants to please his human(s) and be part of the goings on of the house. He travels well in the car (now), but initially he was a little nervous. I believe he would be well suited to a family where there is someone home a lot and where he has a dog similar in size and energy to him.
He is de sexed, had a c5 vaccination, been heart worm tested, had monthly flea treatment and a good once over from our vet. His adoption fee is $400 and a trial period will be available to the right home. Should you be interested in him, l would like you to write a brief email outlining why you think you/your family would be a good home for him. My email address is: littlemanfriend@gmail.com
