There has not been a huge amount to report this week.  Dusty and Phoenix have been resting, staying out of the cold and playing with their new toys.

In the week ahead we hope they will gain another kilo or two and be in good enough condition to finally get their vaccinations, and desexing done.

It has been lovely reading all the lovely comments from you all with regards to the boys progress.  I know all the love and support has helped them so much in recovering so well.

There is never a doubt where to find the boys - under the doona if possible!

If l stay very still, maybe you will not see me on the bed...

Testing out the clean sheets...

Yes we all approve of the clean sheets! Oscar is a fat Iggy (we are working on it) but, this photo makes him look bigger than what he really is...

Excuse me, that is my pillow Phoenix...

So tough being you! Today was a cold and windy day, the heating was on and none of us wanted to get out of bed.

They are looking very comfortable now. Hopefully a permanent home can be found for both of them together we they can keep snuggling under the doona. Keep up the posts - lovely to see their improvement and recovery!

This story broke my heart. I run the whippet playgroup at Newport Lakes on Sundays at 4pm so when the poor things get their new owner let them know they can bring them to a safe environment to have a run with all the other whippets. My number is : 0402153027. I cried when I read their story. I have a tan and white spotty girl and it just broke my heart to see their condition. I hope the person was charged. Cheers and thanks Marina

Marina, that is a lovely offer. We might take you up on it when the boys have had their stitches out and the vaccinations have taken affect.

I would love to introduce them to some other friendly Whippet friends, they are dying to get out now they are feeling much better.

They play in a treed off area away from roads and cars - sometimes some of them dissappear up the path but they come back. They really have a ball and we laugh our heads off watching them play. Had a few new puppies to keep the group going which is great. The boys would love it - my girl whippet is the only girl most of the time so she just barks at them and tells them off being the mum. We have been going for about 3 years or so now and have lots of whippets come every week - its great fun - we love it.
